Do you prefer stories that end conclusively, or that end with questions left unanswered?

Conclusive - with all the plot's threads tied up in a satisfying little bow.
Open ended - cliffhangers and twist endings that leave me thinking.

Open ends leave a lot of room for speculations and is mostly what forms a fan's continued interest with the story. However, they also tend to get exploited for that very purpose, in order to keep the audience interested and keep investing in whatever the maker continues to produce. While it is important to keep the audience hooked, there's a limit before the fishing line snaps out of tension.

If I have to put preference into account, I like decisive storylines that can keep the audience interested for more. Answer the questions while leaving the audience thinking "Will there be more?"
